DFI’s 30th Anniversary

Deater Foundation Inc. is 30 YEARS OLD this year!! ??

Founded in 1990 by two Deater family sisters, the goal of DFI is to help fund HSAN1 medical research with the hope of finding a treatment and cure for this disease. Over the past 30 years, DFI has donated $440,000 toward this aim!

? Research at UMASS Medical
? Research at Massachusetts General Hospital
? International HSAN1 symposiums (2008, 2010, 2013, and 2017…with an upcoming fifth conference scheduled for 2021)

Through these areas of funding, so much advancement has already happened…and so much hope for patients with HSAN1 and their families is on the horizon!

And, of the money DFI has received over 30 years, only $440 (0.1%!) has ever gone toward other expenses such as: PayPal donation fees, Network for Good donation fees, misc laboratory expenses, checks, and website needs. Everything else is donated through time and resources of donors and volunteers. This means that 99.9% of your donations goes straight to helping where it matters most…HSAN1 research and collaboration!

So thank you SO much for your continued support! ? Through your generous donations, fundraiser events, peer-to-peer fundraising, FB birthday charity events, company grants and incentives, spreading the word, and so much more…you’ve helped make all of this possible.
